Community Rescue Ride for Life

Families, recreational cyclists, celebrities, corporate groups and experienced
cyclists will take up the challenge for the Community Rescue
‘Ride for Life’ ^TM on Sunday 10th May 2009 in Caloundra on the
Sunshine Coast. This is a fun family day with entertainment and prizes
at the end of the ride. The start and finish lines are in Kawana with a
range of distances to suit everyone.

The Community Rescue ‘Ride for Life’ ^TM is to raise funds for Energex
Community Rescue Helicopter based on the Sunshine Coast. It costs
thousands of dollars for every hour one of the Community Rescue
Helicopters and their very experienced and trained crew are in the sky
rescuing and assisting our locals and visitors from all types of situations. 





ENERGEX Community Rescue Helicopters provide an essential, life-saving service. Every year they help rescue hundreds of people from all walks of life. To keep this service operating we rely on community and corporate donations. One day, you, a family member or friend may need this important service.

The Community Rescue 'Ride for Life' ^TM is a fun day for everyone including exercise, entertainment, and with lots of prizes. Enter as individual, family or corporate team and you will receive a souvenir back pack with a water bottle and t-shirt. If you're not competing why not come along and cheer the riders on and enjoy the fun of the day. There is lots planned with a sausage sizzle at the starting line, food, beverage and entertainment at the finish line.

On the completion of the ride or walk if you prefer there will be lots of entertainment and fun activities for everyone. 

Energex Community Rescue Helicopter will be there to demonstrate their skills as part of the activities throughout the day.
